If the Phillies were going to continue to look to the minor leagues for pitching depth, they will not be able to turn to one of their top pitching prospects. Adam Morgan, named one of the Phillies top propects in several top baseball publications, has a small tear in his rotator cuff, reports Michael LoRe on Lehigh Valley Live. Morgan hit the disabled list back on May 27, and an MRI today revealed the tear.
After impressing in a Spring outing, Morgan was 1-4 with a 4.97 ERA before shutting his game down due to pain in his shoulder.
