The Phillies put right-hander Andrew Bailey on the 15-day disabled list Friday, calling up right-hander Edubray Ramos from Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

The 32-year-old Bailey suffered a left hamstring strain during Wednesday night's game against Minnesota. He was injured on a play where he ran to cover first base; Bailey, despite the injury, was still able to finish the sixth inning. He has a 4.39 ERA for the Phillies in 26.2 innings this season.
Edubray Ramos has pitched remarkably well in Triple-A in 2016, posting a minuscule ERA of just 0.38 in 23.2 innings hurled for the IronPigs after being called up to Lehigh from Reading in May. The Venezuelan, now 23 was signed by the St. Louis Cardinals in 2010, then released; it wasn't until 2013 that the Phillies liked what they saw from him in a group tryout, according to Philly.com's Bob Brookover.
New #Phillies RP Edubray Ramos in 26 appearances between AAA and AA … 38.2 IP, 24 H, 4 BB, 41 K. Well-deserved promotion.
