Phillies re-sign Chris Leroux to minor league deal

Per Baseball America 's minor league transactions page, the Phillies have re-signed pitcher Chris Leroux. Leroux can most recently be seen pitching a few hours ago for Canada in the WBSC Premier12, throwing seven innings of run one ball against the Netherlands. Lots of familiar names on the Canada team such as Tyson Gillies, Pete Orr, and Phillipe Aumont.

Leroux was quite the workhorse for Lehigh Valley after coming over in a mid-season deal with Milwaukee this past season. For the Iron Pigs he appeared in 22 games (three starts) and pitched to a 3.26 ERA with a 1.09 WHIP. There's no word on if this deal comes with a spring training invite or not but he's pitched very respectably for Canada during the Premier12 and could stand a look in big league camp. Leroux does have some major league experience with the Marlins, Pirates, and most recently the Yankees in '14.

Pitcher Reiner Roibal and second baseman KC Serna, both who played throughout the Phillies farm system last season, were also brought back.
