Prior to commencing their 11-game, 10-day road trip, the Philadelphia Phillies announced they have reinstated RHP Edubray Ramos from the 10-day disabled list, having recovered from a right shoulder impingement suffered on Sunday, June 24, in the 8-6 defeat against the Washington Nationals.
Ramos fills the roster spot made available upon the Wednesday demotion of RHP Jake Thompson to Triple-A Lehigh Valley. The 25-year-old said he "felt fine" after throwing a bullpen session on Wednesday, June 29.
In 33 appearances and 29 innings this season, Ramos is 2-0 with eight holds, one save, 32 strikeouts, a 1.24 ERA and .214/.293/.301 opposing slash.
