With the unofficial first half of the 2018 season in the books, the Philadelphia Phillies have just 67 games remaining to potentially clinch their first postseason appearance since 2011.
Although the club's offense has produced the fifth-worst combined batting average thus far (.236), many Phillies players are projecting to set franchise single-season highs last matched or bested during the club's most recent postseason window.
Rhys Hoskins, for example, is set to slug 95 runs batted in, a mark last matched by first baseman Ryan Howard (95) in 2014. Center fielder Odubel Herrera's projected 27 home runs would be the club's most since then-All-Star outfielder Domonic Brown in 2013 (27).

First baseman Carlos Santana is currently the club leader in walks (74) and sacrifice flys (6), and is tied with second baseman Cesar Hernandez with the most games played (95). Santana's projected 126 walks and 10 sacrifice flys would be the club's most since the latter years of Veterans Stadium and the inaugural season of Citizens Bank Park. Outfielder Bobby Abreu (127, 2004) and third baseman Scott Rolen (12, 2001) were the last to exceed Santana's current projected marks in single-season walks and sacrifice flys, respectively.
While the Phillies offense has struggled offensively, thus far, they have actually produced far better numbers than the club's recent underwhelming seasons under managers Ryne Sandberg and Pete Mackanin.
