Phillies second baseman Chase Utley wins “Heart and Hustle” award

Chase Utley has played 65 games so far in 2015.  The results have been pretty disappointing.  Before hitting the disabled list with an ankle injury, Utley was hitting just .179.  But, the MLB Players Alumni Association still hailed Utley's "heart" and "hustle".

The MLBPAA Twitter account made the announcement:

Each team gets a winner, but there is one overall winner.

The award began in 2005.  Former Phillies pitcher Roy Halladay won the overall award back in 2005, his Cy Young season.   Utley, meanwhile, could begin a rehab assignment within the next week and rejoin the Phillies roster soon.
