After selecting Cornelius Randolph with the 10th overall pick, the Phillies opted to stay on the infield for their second round selection.
With the 48th overall pick in the second round in Monday's portion of the MLB Draft, the Phillies selected second baseman Scott Kingery.
Kingery is a 5'11", 175 pound junior from the University of Arizona. Hailing from Phoenix, Kingery hit .392 this season with 15 doubles, five home runs and 36 RBI in 54 games.
