Phillies Shortstop Jimmy Rollins To Appear On “The Cleveland Show” As Cartoon Character

Sunday Night Baseball?  Jimmy Rollins will be coming to your Sunday evening television in cartoon form.  According to the Daily News, next Sunday the episode of "Family Guy" spinoff "The Cleveland Show" will be a baseball-themed episode featuring Phillies shortstop Jimmy Rollins.

The episode, entitled "California Dreamin' (All the Cleves are Brown)", will feature Rollins, David Ortiz, Joey Votto, Andre Ethier, and Matt Kemp.  It appears they got lazy and did not finish the pinstripes, but without MLB's approval, they cannot use team logos or do more than use the city name.

Kudos to Molly Eichel of the Philadelphia Daily News for finding this.  Her connection to the story is Philadelphia's Kara Vallow, a producer for the show whom Eichel describes as, "die-hard Phillies fan who wanted to counteract Henry's love of the Cincinnati Reds with hometown appreciation..

"The Cleveland Show" airs Sundays on Fox at 7:30 p.m.
