The Phillies have added their fifth starter. According to Jim Salisbury of CSN Philly, the Phillies have agreed to terms with RHP John Lannan. Lannan spent most of the 2012 season in the minors.
Lannan is best known by Phillies fans for throwing the pitch that knocked Chase Utley out for several weeks of the 2007 season.
The agreement is pending a physical. Lannan was 4-1 with a 4.13 ERA last year in six games for the Nationals.
