Phillies Starter for Thursday is “TBA”. Does this Mean Roy Halladay is Done?
A blog by Phillies beat writer Ryan Lawrence of the Daily News suggests that Roy Halladay could be done for the season.
This is pure speculation by Lawrence, but he takes a moment to muse about that the media notes given to him. The starter for Thursday, which would have otherwise been Roy Halladay's next start is now listed as "TBA".
Now, the Phillies could be using the off day to give them extra rest, or, to decide whether or not Tyler Cloyd is to make another start. Maybe the Phillies keep Cloyd handy on Halladay's start to see if he is in trouble. The Phillies did not have a long man to pitch behind Halladay on Saturday's blowup.
Lawrence cautions he is just speculating, but the Phillies definitely had to decide how to use the off day. Keeping Kendrick on shorter rest is already set to go. So, what will the rest be?
