Michael Young is constantly spoken of as someone the Phillies could trade at the trading deadline. But apparently, the Phillies continue to resist such a move, according to the New York Post's Joel Sherman:
Heard #Yankees also continue to be told by #Phillies that Michael Young not yet available, and might never be

The only explanation I can think of is that Young is insistent that he will not waive his no-trade clause no matter what.
If there is any position that the Phillies have depth, it is infield. The Phillies could start Kevin Frandsen, Cody Asche, Freddy Galvis, or even Cesar Hernandez, who spent some time in the minor leagues at third base.
Who knows; maybe Amaro is just trying to drive up Young's trade value. But I doubt it.
