Traditionally, the Philadelphia Phillies are seen wearing their white uniforms with red pinstripes during home night games. That will not be the case during Tuesday evening's home series opener against the Colorado Rockies.
Over the years, the club has introduced alternate uniforms, including a cream-colored variation which debuted in celebration of their 125th anniversary in 2008. Since, the club has worn the alternate uniform during home day games at Citizens Bank Park.
Even though Tuesday's game will take place in the evening, the club will reportedly wear their day cream-colored alternate uniform because "they have yet to receive a double-flapped red helmet for Rhys Hoskins" from league vendors, according to Matt Breen of philly.com.

Philadelphia sports fans might remember a similar bizarre uniform change in 2014, when the Philadelphia Eagles did not wear their iconic midnight green jerseys until Week 10 due to Nike's error.
Hoskins first wore the blue, double-flapped helmet — that corresponds with the cream uniforms — on Saturday, upon his return from the 10-day disabled list due to a fractured jaw. Since returning, Hoskins is slashing .286/.250/.714 in eight plate appearances, with one run, single and home run, five RBI and no strikeouts.
In the sense, the helmet fulfills the same purpose as did Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid's mask during their recent playoff run: to avoid re-injury.
Aaron Nola will look for his 20th career home win, and his eighth win in 2018 overall, in Tuesday's contest.
