While the Philadelphia Phillies 10-2 loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks Friday probably wasn't easy for fans to watch, the Phillies' Triple-A affiliate's game may have been even more difficult.
The Lehigh Valley IronPigs won their Friday evening matchup against the Buffalo Bison, the Toronto Blue Jays' Triple-A affiliate, but it didn't come without former Phillies top prospect Domonic Brown potentially robbing a home run from current top prospect Nick Williams.
The part that stings Phillies fans most about this catch is that Brown, who had a potentially explosive arm, ended up being an extremely unreliable fielder in parts of six seasons with the Phillies. FanGraphs says that between 2013 and 2015, Brown accumulated a -32.8 dWAR. Heck, the last play of his Phillies career ended with him sustaining a concussion after falling into the stands following him missing out on making a catch in right field. So to see him make a difficult catch like this, whether it cost Nick Williams a home run or just a double, understandably leaves Phillies fans shaking their heads.
