Phillies, Zach Eflin seek third straight series win

By Matt Rappa, managing editor

PHILADELPHIA — In their second-to-last home game before the All-Star break, the Philadelphia Phillies (38-46) will look to secure their third straight series finale in opposition of RHP Mike Foltynewicz and the National League-worst Atlanta Braves (28-55) Tuesday evening at Citizens Bank Park.

Starting for the Phillies will be rookie RHP Zach Eflin, his first start at home since June 19 in a 5-1 defeat to the Arizona Diamondbacks and his fifth career start overall.

Right fielder Peter Bourjos, batting second in Tuesday's starting lineup, will look to become the first Phillie with a hitting streak of 14 or more games since franchise hits leader Jimmy Rollins hit safely in 15 straight from June 5-21, 2014. Bourjos leads the majors in batting average since June 1 (.427), minimum 60 at-bats.
