The myth that is Nick Foles continues as he leads the Eagles to a big victory over the Texans, 32-30. Even though this game came down to Elliot’s last second field goal, don’t let that take away from the impressive performance by Nick Foles. Foles completed 35 of his 49 passes for 471 yards and four touchdowns. His favorite targets on the day were Nelson Agholor and Zach Ertz who combined to catch 17 balls for 226 yards and three touchdowns. They will take this into next week to take on the Redskins hoping for some favorable results in the process.
The Texans were relying on Deshaun Watson. He was responsible for all four of the Texans touchdowns as he had 388 total yards. Despite his best efforts and some impressive catches on the part of DeAndre Hopkins, the Texans just did not have enough in the tank. Much like the Eagles, the Texans will be relying on other teams’ results as they are in the heart of a tight AFC Playoff race. They will also prepare for the Jacksonville Jaguars next week in yet another important game.
There is still a lot going on around the NFL, with a lot left to be decided over the next week. The Eagles are still in the hunt and they look like they are playing at their best. The question remains: can they get the help they need from other places to make up for the poor start to the season?
