The Philadelphia 76ers and Sacramento Kings were scheduled to play at the Wells Fargo Center on November 30, but moisture on the court surface caused the game to be postponed due to unsafe playing conditions. On Saturday., the NBA approved the contest to be rescheduled and played on January 30 at 6:00 p.m.
NEW YORK – The National Basketball Association announced today that the Nov. 30 game between the Sacramento Kings and Philadelphia 76ers, which was postponed due to unsafe playing conditions on the arena floor, has been rescheduled for Monday, Jan. 30, 2017, at 6 p.m. ET at Wells Fargo Center.
This will create back-to-backs for both teams with Philadelphia in Chicago on January 29 and Sacramento in Houston on February 1. The Kings will now have another game added to an already lengthy seven-game road trip.
The Wells Fargo Center floor was covered with moisture during the originally scheduled game and according to Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer, the moisture was a result of the high temperature outside and the temperature inside the arena being 75 degrees earlier. Pompey went on to report that someone in the operations department "dropped the ball" and didn't turn the temperature down like they normally do.
