NHL action returns to the Wells Fargo Center when the Philadelphia Flyers host the New York Islanders on Tuesday night. Game time is set for 7:00. The Flyers look to bounce back after both split squad teams were blanked on Monday night.

All eyes will be on Ivan Provorov as he makes his home debut for the 2016 preseason. The 2015 first rounder played an incredible 28 minutes last night in Newark.

There are a lot of people who believe the young blueliner is destined to make the roster out of camp this season. In order to do that, Provorov will need an outstanding camp. GM Ron Hextall has preached patience with the young players and if the top prospect does not show he is ready the team with send him back to juniors.

It also figures be the first chance to see Brayden Schenn, Wayne Simmonds, Matt Read among others who figure to be on the opening night roster.

Steve Mason looks to get the start in goal for the Flyers tonight.  Mason is coming off an up and down season for the Flyers in 2015-16.  At times Mason was the best player on the ice and without his play down the stretch, the Flyers do not make the postseason. The Flyers have a luxury of having two capable goalies that can play extended stretches of games but make no mistake, this is an important season for Mason.
