The Philadelphia Phillies have named outfielder Roman Quinn and left-handed pitcher Ranger Suarez as their Player and Pitcher of the Week for April 24-30.

Quinn, 23, is hitting just .262 overall this season, but is heating up at the plate. He went 9-for-22 this past week (.409) with two doubles, one triple, two RBIs, six runs scored and two steals. During this past weekend's series against Toledo, Quinn hit .363 with two doubles, two RBIs and four runs scored. Over his last 10 games, he's hitting .306 with seven runs scored, 10 strikeouts, six walks and three RBIs. Quinn is hitting .293 against righties this season compared to .192 against lefties.

Suarez, 21, continued his dominance for Lakewood this past week, lowering his season ERA to 0.81. His last start came on April 26 against Delmarva, the Orioles Class 'A' affiliate. He hurled seven shutout innings, allowing just two hits while striking out nine. Suarez hasn't allowed a run since the first inning of his first start this season, spanning 17.1 innings over his last three outings. His 0.81 ERA is good for third best in the South Atlantic League and he's holding the opposition to just a .162 average in 22.1 innings of work.
