Quinn undergoes surgery, out 6-8 weeks
By Paul Bowman, Sports Talk Philly Staff
It seems as though the injury bug will not be leaving the Phillies anytime soon. Nor will it be leaving Phillies outfielder Roman Quinn, for that matter.
Jim Salisbury of NBC Sports Philadelphia is reporting that the 25-year old underwent surgery for another injury.

This is Quinn’s sixth consecutive year missing extended time to injuries. Be it suffering a fracture after being hit by a pitch, tearing his Achillies in workouts, injuring his leg sprinting to first base or sustaining concussions, Quinn has just been unlucky.
He made his most appearances in 2016 when he took 286 at bats with Reading and 57 with the big league club. He has posted a .27/.351/.403 slash line in the minors over the last seven seasons.
What is most intriguing is Quinn’s speed. In addition to helping him play center field, Quinn’s speed wreaks havoc on the base paths. In his 484 games in the minors, he has stolen 181 bases – even after suffering several unrelated leg injuries.
Quinn will be out for another 6-8 weeks, but the Phillies can only hope that his luck will change.
