According to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, the St. Louis Rams have extended the contract of former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles through the 2017 season.

NFL.com insider Ian Rapoport reports that 'just under $14 million' will be guaranteed for Foles.
Foles, 26, was traded to the Rams this offseason, along with a 2015 4th round pick and a 2016 2nd round pick, in exchange for quarterback Sam Bradford, a 2015 5th round pick, and a conditional 2016 pick.
Over three seasons, 28 games, and 24 starts under center in midnight green, Foles compiled a 15-9 quarterback record, and threw for 6,753 yards and 46 touchdowns over 893 attempts.
In 2013, the Austin, Texas-native set the league-wide record in single-game touchdown passes (7), touchdown-to-interception ratio (27:2), and passer rating in a calendar month (152.8).
Foles is set to earn a base salary of $1.522 million this season under the helm of the Super Bowl XXXIV champions.
