Phillippe Aumont just can't seem to throw strikes. Therefore, the Phillies just can't keep him on the major league roster. Today the Phillies sent Aumont down to AAA Lehigh Valley once again. Aumont was recalled after Mike Stutes went onto the disabled list, but he has failed to take advantage of his most recent opportunity.
According to the Inquirer's Matt Gelb, Aumont simply isn't listening:

The Phillies instead will turn to a player that spent time this season at Class A Clearwater: Luis Garcia. Garcia has spent time at three levels for the Phillies this season: High A, AA, and AAA. Despite just six appearances at AAA, the Phillies are giving him a shot.
Here is how Garcia fared:
- Clearwater 0-1, 2.37
- Reading 2-1, 2.45
- Lehigh Valley 0-0, 1.29
Garcia was originally signed by the Los Angeles Dodgers as an undrafted free agent back in 2006. Garcia did not play at all in 2011 and spent 2012 with the Independent League Newark Bears, before the Phillies signed him in the offseason. This is his first stint on a Major League roster. With Mike Adams hitting the 60-day disabled list, there was room on the 40-man roster for Garcia.
The rehabbing Jeremy Horst is at AAA Lehigh Valley and could return soon, making Garcia's stay short.
