It has been reported that the Sixers are 'leaning heavily' towards selecting Ben Simmons with the first overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft on June 23, but Duke's Brandon Ingram is more of a pure shooter, something the Sixers have lacked for quite some time. Sources tell The Vertical Podcast that Ingram will work out with Philadelphia on Monday, June 13.

In his lone year at Duke, Ingram averaged 17.3 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game. The 6-foot-9 guard shot 41 percent from beyond the arc and 44.2 percent from the floor.
The Sixers will likely choose either Simmons Ingram, though Kentucky coach John Calipari thinks Philadelphia should go with Wildcats guard Jamal Murray. Neither Simmons or Murray have worked out for the Sixers yet.
