REPORT: Broncos ‘in’ on Sam Bradford, Eagles appear uninterested

The Philadelphia Eagles are expected to draft their potential franchise quarterback in round one of Thursday's NFL Draft, though the NFL world appears to be more focused on the future of the team's current starter, Sam Bradford.

After ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Monday that Bradford had asked the Eagles to trade him, Mike Klis of NBC 9 in Denver reported that the Denver Broncos 'reached out' to the Eagles to discuss the possibility of acquiring Bradford. Klis noted at that time that a league source told him that the Eagles asking price was 'too high'.

That said, Klis noted this evening that as the Broncos talks with the San Francisco 49ers regarding Colin Kaepernick appear to have reached a stalemate, the team continues to show interest in Bradford.

Meanwhile, an NFL source on Wednesday told 9NEWS the Broncos "are in" on Philadelphia Eagles' quarterback Sam Bradford. General manager John Elway has talked with Eagles’ general manager Howard Roseman about Bradford, the Eagles' quarterback who issued a trade demand this week.

Though the Broncos' interest in Bradford may be increasing, Klis says that the Eagles don't appear to be particularity interested in moving Bradford.

However, the Eagles so far haven’t expressed a willingness to deal Bradford, even though it's clear the veteran quarterback has now attained lame-duck status after Philadelphia moved up to the draft's No. 2 spot with the intention of selecting quarterback Carson Wentz.

Executive vice president of football operations Howie Roseman told John Clark of Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia Monday afternoon that the team still views Bradford as their starter, and this would seem to make sense if that is the case.
