Free agency begins in three days and the Philadelphia Eagles have been linked to a number of players, primarily wide receivers. According to Tim McManus of ESPN.com, the Eagles are expected to show interested in free agent wideout Kenny Britt. The 28-year-old has spent the last three seasons with the Rams.
Britt had a career year in 2016-17 with Los Angeles, catching 68 passes for 1,002 yards and five touchdowns. He did that while working with Mike Groh, who signed on as the Eagles wide receivers coach back in late-January. In 104 games across his career, Britt has 4,881 receiving yards and 30 touchdowns.
Britt joins a list of receivers that the Eagles are supposedly interested in, including Saints' Brandin Cooks, Dolphins' Kenny Stills and Bears' Alshon Jeffrey. Cooks would have to be acquired by trade while Stills and Jeffrey could command anywhere from $10-$15 million per season, so Britt could be an affordable option for the Eagles at his age coming off of the best year of his career.
Free agent signing begins at 4:00 p.m. on March 9.
