The Philadelphia Eagles recently lost two of their coaches to other teams following their Super Bowl win on February 4. Quarterbacks coach John DeFilippo departed to become to Vikings offensive coordinator while Frank Reich, the Eagles offensive coordinator, accepted the Indianapolis Colts head coach position. Back on February 13, Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reported that the Eagles were in no rush to hire a new offensive coordinator. A little less than a week later, the Eagles are reportedly planning to interview two internal candidates for the vacancy.
The #Eagles will interview RBs coach Duce Staley and WRs coach Mike Groh for their vacant OC position today, source said (as @Tim_McManus reported). Doug Pederson still mulling whether to promote both or elevate one.

No immediate plans to interview anyone other than Groh or Staley for Eagles OC job. Pederson comfortable with both.

If the Eagles plan to hire an offensive coordinator, Doug Pederson will still continue to call the plays.
Staley, 42, was drafted by the Eagles in 1997 and played for the Eagles through the 2003 season before signing with the Steelers prior to the 2004 season. He officially retired as a Philadelphia Eagle in December 2007 and the organization hired him as a coaching intern during the 2010 offseason. In 2011, he was promoted to special teams quality control coach before being promoted to running backs coach under Chip Kelly. Staley was interviewed for the head coach opening after Kelly was fired, but the Eagles instead went with Doug Pederson as Duce remained in his role as running backs coach.
Groh, 46, began his coaching career as an assistant for his dad with the Jets in 2000. After a stints in college with Virginia, Alabama and Louisville, Groh served on the coaching staffs with the Chicago Bears (2013-16) and Rams (2016) before joining the Eagles as the wide receivers coach on January 21, 2017.
