On the heels of the Philadelphia Eagles agreeing to a new five-year deal with defensive-end Vinny Curry, one report suggests that Howie Roseman and company (not that there really is "company" currently) are close to finalizing a new contract with the most accomplished member of the defensive-line.
Eliot Shorr-Parks of NJ Advance Media says that finalizing an extension with Pro-Bowl defensive-end Fletcher Cox is next on the team's agenda.
Fletcher Cox is next. Two sides are close and his deal will be done soon. #Eagles https://t.co/nuiryc4DHC

Howard Eskin of 94 WIP and FOX 29 reported yesterday that Cox was negotiating a deal that he said could exceed $100 million in total salary with more than $60 million of that being guaranteed. Eskin having knowledge that specific on the negotiations speaks to discussions that are fairly advanced.
In the meantime, Cox took to Twitter to congratulate Curry on his new deal.
Congrats bro @MrGetFlee99 https://t.co/ynybnfUaZ0
