Report: Flyers, Jordan Weal agree to terms

Well over a week after the free agency period began, the Flyers have four restricted free agents that remain unsigned. Three of them had filed for arbitration.

One of those deals has come complete.

The Flyers and forward Jordan Weal agreed to terms on Monday on a one-year, $600,000 deal, according to CBC's Tim Wharnsby. It is a two-way deal.

Weal only played in four games with the Flyers after being acquired in a trade that sent Vincent Lecavalier and Luke Schenn to the Los Angeles Kings. He did not record any points. He also had no points in 10 NHL games with the Kings.

Weal was a solid player in the AHL, scoring 20 goals and adding 49 assists for 69 points in 73 games for the Manchester Monarchs in 2014-15.

The Flyers still have restricted free agents Brayden Schenn, Nick Cousins and Brandon Manning left to sign. Schenn and Manning also filed for arbitration.
