If you watched the Philadelphia 76ers game against Miami on Monday night, you probably saw that Markelle Fultz’s free throw form has regressed and frankly, he is still hesitant to take jump shots. Here’s a look at his ugly free throw from the first half of Monday’s game.

This is obviously concerning for a kid that is having confidence issues and is now showing some regression in areas the Sixers can’t afford in terms of development. Fultz worked with well-known trainer Drew Hanlen over the summer to fix his broken shot/case of the yips. We saw signs of Fultz’s improved jumper at the start of the season, but nothing consistent enough to be hopeful offensively. Hanlen was on hand to watch the first few games, supporting Markelle, but apparently Fultz and Hanlen have had a falling out and are no longer speaking.
Markelle Fultz and Drew Hanlen are no longer working together or on speaking terms, according to league sources. No word on why the two parted ways, but their relationship deteriorated about three weeks ago. Prior to this falling out, Fultz spent the summer training with Hanlen.

You have to wonder if Hanlen’s deleted tweet from early November stemmed from a rift in the relationship. Either way, if Fultz doesn’t start producing offensively, he’ll find himself on the bench and potentially on the outside looking in with regard to the Sixers future.
