The deadline for restricted free agents to accept qualifying offers was Sunday at 5 p.m. The Flyers had just two restricted free agents left at that time. It appears that another RFA has come off the list.
According to a report from NHL writer John Hoven, goalie Anthony Stolarz has accepted the Flyers qualifying offer of $761,250.
Stolarz was the Flyers second-round pick in 2012 and has spent the last four seasons as part of the organization. Due to a knee injury suffered in the playoffs of the 2016-17 season, Stolarz played just four games in 2017-18 with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms and Reading Royals, mainly in rehab appearances.
In the 2016-17 season, Stolarz played in 29 games for the Phantoms, posting an 18-9-0 record and a 2.92 GAA. He also played in seven games with the Flyers, posting a 2-1-1 record and a 2.07 GAA.
With Stolarz re-signing, that leaves just Robert Hagg as the only remaining restricted free agent to sign, and quite possibly the last order of business for the Flyers this offseason. The team announced the re-signing of Taylor Leier, Tyrell Goulbourne and Danick Martel on Sunday morning.
