The Phillies cannot make a trade if they are not engaged in talks. With plenty of reports flying that the Phillies are overvaluing their players, it makes sense that teams would not even bother talking business with the Phillies. That may be happening with pitcher Cole Hamels.
Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports says that the Phillies have not done much of anything in terms of their most tradeable asset, Cole Hamels:
Source: #Phillies have received no offers for Hamels, nor have they made any specific requests. No meaningful dialogue.

Source describes a trade of Hamels as the “least likely” of all the deals #Phillies are considering.

But, are there any moves to be considered likely at this point?
The trade deadline is now tomorrow (Thursday). The Phillies do not appear to be close to any significant moves.
