The report is written up on the station's website:
This evening a family source confirmed that Sinton product Mike Adams has signed with the Philadelphia Phillies for $18-million dollars. It's a three year deal with a two-year guarantee. Adams spent the last two seasons with the Rangers going 5-3 out of the bullpen with a 3.27 ERA in 2012. The former A&M-Kingsville star struck out 45 batters in 52.1 innings of work.
Adams has been a top eighth inning reliever for the San Diego Padres and Texas Rangers the last two seasons. This could be just what the Phillies need behind Jonathan Papelbon in the bullpen.
A native of the Corpus Christi area, Adams may have broken the story to a local guy. He says that the report comes directly from Adams' family.
