Cross another name off of the Phillies potential center field board.
Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports reports that the San Francisco Giants and centerfielder Angel Pagan, a Phillies target, are close to agreement on a new deal:
Sources: Pagan close to re-signing with #SFGiants.

Another possible center field target for the Phillies in Josh Hamilton, may also have a new home. This report comes from 97.3 ESPN, an ESPN affiliate based in Atlantic City, New Jersey:
I am hearing from a source that the #RedSox could be the favorite to sign Josh Hamilton….#Phillies fans, what you think?

This source seems to be alone in this assessment, though many others see the Red Sox as a good fit for Hamilton. Hamilton reportedly is at the Winter Meetings, where he can certainly talk to various teams in one spot.
With Pagan and possibly Hamilton off of the board, the Phillies may be left to choose from Shane Victorino and Michael Bourn to play center. Stay tuned.
