The NBA Draft may be on Thursday with free agency opening on July 1, but there is no rush for the Sixers to hire a new general manager to replace Bryan Colangelo, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
“We’re going to go deep into July I think before they really start talking to candidates,” Woj says of the #Sixers front office search on ESPN’s draft show.

The Sixers are currently focused on improving the team's roster led by head coach and interim GM Brett Brown. He will be the centerpiece of negotiations.
It might be smarter to have the GM set in stone before making any kind of major moves, but according to Woj, the Sixers seem to have everything under control until they begin to talk with candidates in late July.
Who might be available for the taking for the position is still up in the air, however, the Sixers have been linked to David Griffin, Kiki VanDeWeghe, and Mike Zarren in the last few weeks, although none of them have come out as serious contenders.
Starting Thursday, we'll get to see just how much trust the Sixers' brass has in Brett Brown to make personnel decisions, as that may be the reason for the delay in searching for a GM.
