It is nearly a week to the minute since Ben Detrick’s story about Bryan Colangelo and suspected twitter accounts that were used to discuss confidential team information and criticize Sixers players and staff members was released, and we are still wthout a resolution in regards to Bryan Colangelo and his future with the team.
While the wait has been agonizing, it may soon come to an end according to new report.
The Sixers have interviewed both Bryan Colangelo and his wife Barbara Bottini separately to help inform their decision. The Sixers are in the process of determining if Colangelo can be absolved from his wife’s actions if she indeed was the person behind the accounts in question according to Adrian Wojnarowski who first reported this news live on ESPN.
Wojnarowski reports the the interviews lasted for “hours” and that he expects a decision a to be made within the next 24-48 hours on Colangelo’s future with the team.
Wojnarowski added that the negative attention from the Colangelo story will be offset in part during free agency due to the opinion that players have about Brett Brown who is an active recruiter and has built a reputation as being a player-friendly coach.
