According to a report first broke by TMZ Sports, Washington Redskins wide receiver DeSean Jackson's home was the subject of a possible gang-related home invasion.
Jackson wasn't home on Wednesday morning when four armed men broke into his home in Tarzana, CA.
However, there were five adults already staying at his home at the time.
One of the occupants was pistol-whipped while trying to fight off the armed intruders, but no one has any major injuries.
The intruders eventually fled the scene before police arrived.
Police have leads, but they have yet to identify possible suspects.
TMZ reported that the incident can be gang-related, but law enforcement officials told USA Today that it would be "premature" to make that determination.
"He'll get to the bottom of it, as will the police, and we'll go form there," Redskins head coach Jay Gruden said on Friday morning.
Jackson hasn't played a snap since Week 1 of the regular season, when he pulled his hamstring against the Miami Dolphins. He has zero catches so far.
The Philadelphia Eagles abruptly released Jackson in the 2014 offseason after a report surfaced about Jackson's relationship with people involved with gang activity.
Jackson has told reporters that he isn't affiliated with any gangs, but he is in contact with gang members.
This isn't the first time that Jackson has had his home broken into. In 2014, Jackson's South Philadelphia home was the subject of a robbery in which he lost approximately $250,000 in cash.
