Journeyman catcher Rod Barajas has announced his retirement. Many remember Barajas (or do they?) from his brief stint with the Phillies sharing time with Carlos Ruiz in the glorious '07 campaign. In 48 games in '07 he hit a rather unremarkable .230/.352/.393 and eventually lost his job to Chris Coste. However, he was part of a crazy cast of characters that put together one of the most entertaining Phillies seasons of my lifetime and for that I bid him farewell.
