Although Jahlil Okafor has taken most of the headlines as a Sixers rookie this season, Richaun Holmes has also shown that he has what it takes to bring energy, rim protection and agility to the team when he is called upon. He hasn't seen much action over the last two games, tallying just eight minutes against Atlanta and none against Golden State, and will miss some more time due to an ankle injury suffered in practice.

The Sixers selected Holmes in the 2nd round, 37th overall, out of Bowling Green. He's averaging 6.1 points and 2.5 rebounds in a little over 14 minutes per game and is shooting an impressive 55 percent from the field. Holmes scored a career-high 18 points back on December 28th against Utah and also scored 17 against both Minnesota and Portland in January.
Holmes also has the ability to throw down some impressive dunks, due in large part to his athleticism and wing span. Back in December, he posterized Hawks center Al Horford with an emphatic jam.
With the surplus of bigs the Sixers have, including Jahlil Okafor, Nerlens Noel, Carl Landry and Jerami Grant, Holmes doesn't normally get consistent minutes. That might change even more when the Sixers potentially add Joel Embiid, Dario Saric and up to four first round picks in the upcoming draft.
