Hallelujaha!
Roy Halladay is back and he is ready to take the hill and he will do so on Tuesday night against the Dodgers. The Phils' ace has been out of action for over a month after a right lat strain back on May 27th. When originally diagnosed, Halladay was given 6-8 weeks recovery time plus rehab time.
If my math is on track, he's been gone for exactly seven weeks today. So if you take the one away from the eight and subtract the possible two weeks for reha- AH WHO CARES DOC IS BACK!
Sorry, I got a little carried away there. But yes, Roy Halladay will make his first start since May 27th and will hope to operate on the funk that this team has had since he left. Since May 28th, when Halladay officially went on the DL, the Phillies are a major league worst 13-27. Yikes. Hopefully the good doctor can perform some surgery to help this team get their heads out of their asses (pardon my French). Halladay left the team with a 4-5 record and 3.98 ERA on the year, hopefully the time off gave his shoulder a rest and he can come back at full force for a playoff push.
Anyway, the Phillies will open up a three-game set against the Dodgers on Monday and from there will go on to face San Francisco. If all goes well in his start on Tuesday, Halladay will make the start on Sunday against the Giants.
