It should come as no surprise to anyone, the Dylan Harper era at Rutgers is officially over. The Scarlet Knights’ true freshman guard announced his intentions to declare for the 2025 NBA Draft during an appearance on ESPN’s NBA Today.

The Franklin Lakes, NJ native set the Rutgers freshman scoring record in 2024-25 despite missing a handful of game due to a sprained ankle and the flu. Harper averaged 19.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 32.5 minutes per game last season. In his 29 games, Harper shot 48.4% from the floor and 33.3% from beyond the arc.

Harper is likely to be the N0.2 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.
