Well I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing, but I guess it won't hurt.
According to MLB's Todd Zolecki, Ryan Howard is likely to start tomorrow's game vs the Atlanta Braves. The Phillies will open a three-game home stand before headed into the All-Star break.
The first baseman hasn't played with the Phils since Game 5 of the NLDS…and we all know that whole story.
I would rather the Phillies wait until after the All-Star break. You know, to give him some extra time to rehab and not rush him back. But I guess the Phillies want to pump up the team headed into the All-Star break with some momentum.
With the Phillies ten games under .500 and way back in last place in the NL East, it makes it a huge question whether Howard can help this team get back on the right track or not.
