Earlier today, Connor Barwin told 94 WIP that Sam Bradford would return to voluntary workouts today. The Eagles quarterback has officially arrived at the Novacare Complex and according to Sal Palantonio of ESPN, he's also rescinded his trade request.
The quarterback rescinded his trade demand and reported to the NovaCare Complex on Monday, agent Tom Condon told ESPN's Sal Paolantonio.
Bradford texted coaches and said he would be showing up Monday, a source told ESPN's Adam Caplan. He previously did not return their messages. [ESPN.com]
The Eagles traded up for the number two pick in the draft and selected quarterback Carson Wentz just two months after agreeing to a two-year deal with Bradford. Following the trade, Bradford left Eagles workouts and his agent said that he wouldn't be reporting back until mandatory mini-camps in early June. Now that he is back with the team, Bradford is committed to the Eagles and preparing for a championship year. Here's his statement made through his agent, per Adam Schefter.
"I'm excited to be back on the field today with my teammates and coaches. The business-side of football is sometimes a necessary consideration. My attention and efforts are focused on the participation in and preparation for a championship season: I am committed to my teammates and the Eagles organization for nothing less.
Bradford completed 65 percent of his passes last season for 3,725 yards, 19 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. The Eagles went 7-7 in Bradford's 14 starts.
