The Sixers rebuild process has been a tough one not only on the fans, but the front office as well. With the third year of "The Process" nearly complete and a big offseason ahead, a report has surfaced that says Sam Hinkie's future with the team is a cloudy one with a lack of progress in the rebuild.

Though the Sixers have been brutal to watch at times, many people support the majority of Sam Hinkie's decisions, despite the lack of forward movement. Hinkie has stockpiled draft picks, but has also put the Sixers in a conundrum with a surplus of big men. With Joel Embiid on the mend, the Sixers currently have Jahlil Okafor and Nerlens Noel as regulars, though both are injured. In reserve they have Jerami Grant and veteran Carl Landry. Next season, if Embiid recovers and Dario Saric comes over from Turkey, the Sixers will have some decisions to make.

The Sixers shouldn't give up on Hinkie now, especially with this offseason being the one with the most on the line. With up to four first round picks, Philadelphia could potentially have a completely different look next season. One thing they need to focus on is attempting to draft a point guard and a winger that can shoot. With the team likely to draft first or second, Ben Simmons offers everything except for a jump shot while Brandon Ingram would likely provide the shooting that they need. Hinkie and his front office have plenty to go over and analyze before draft day and trades could be made to fill out the roster as the offseason rolls along.

Jerry Colangelo's addition to the front office may have put some heat on Sam Hinkie, but it shouldn't make the process waver at all. With three talented big men on the roster and a slew of additions coming this offseason, it is the coming seasons that will determine Hinkie's success and the Sixers should give him the opportunity to see it through.
