Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman strikes again!

Just days after the NFL announced the 2025 salary cap would be in excess of $279 million, the defending Super Bowl champs made a monster splash with one of their star player’s contracts. The Eagles announced a recording breaking two-year, $41.2 million contract extension with reigning NFL Offensive Player of the Year Saquon Barkley. The deal will add two-seasons to Barkley’s original three-year deal with the team. The league’s leading rusher will become the NFL’s first ever $20 million-a-year running back and is guaranteed $36 million.

While the terms of the contract have yet to be disclosed, the consensus is Barkley’s deal will give the Birds’ front office even more flexibility heading into NFL free agency. The team has already done some roster shuffling with the pending releases of veteran defensive backs Darius Slay and James Bradberry, respectively.

Here’s a current look at the top 10 Eagles salary cap hits heading into free agency. (Note: this includes Slay’s contract as currently constructed and does not include what will be a $9.55 million dead cap hit).
