The Flyers provided injury updates on Tuesday morning ahead of their game against the Montreal Canadiens.
It was known Monday night that Michal Neuvirth's injury was a matter of weeks, not days. Neuvirth is out for four-to-six weeks with a lower-body injury, GM Ron Hextall announced.
In addition, Hextall hinted Monday night that there was another injury to the team at forward, the reason behind the call-up of Oskar Lindblom. Hextall announced on Tuesday morning that Wayne Simmonds is out for two-to-three weeks with an upper-body injury.
Simmonds has scored 20 goals and has 37 points this season in 59 games with the Flyers. Lindblom has 16 goals and 34 points in 54 games with the Phantoms this season.
Neuvirth has an 8-7-3 record with a 2.61 GAA in 21 appearances this season. The Flyers acquired goalie Petr Mrazek on Monday night with Neuvirth joining Brian Elliott as goalies out long-term for the Flyers. Mrazek will split time with Alex Lyon in goal.
The Flyers take on the Canadiens at 7 p.m. on Tuesday night.
