NBA season is inching closer and closer by the day and Monday marks the first big event as the team announced its training camp roster and will host their annual media day. Kris Humphries, signed last week by the Sixers, is on the training camp roster along with another new addition just recently announced this morning, veteran big man Emeka Okafor.
Here's a look at the entire roster heading into camp:
Emeka Okafor is a nine-year veteran, but hasn't played in the NBA since the 2012-13 season with the Washington Wizards due to multiple injuries. In 590 career games, Okafor has posted averages of 12.3 points and 9.9 rebounds per game. The likelihood of Okafor making the team seems slim with the Sixers' depth in the front court.
One of the other new additions is at the guard spot in Kansas State alum Jacob Pullen. The Sixers agreed to terms with Pullen last week. Pullen appeared in 40 games and averaged 10 points and two assists per game playing overseas this past season in Russia.
Training camp will start Tuesday, September 26 and run through Friday, September 29. Bryan Colangelo, Brett Brown and all of the players will be available to the media today between 10:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
