Sixers
The Philadelphia 76ers will be in Memphis tonight to face the grizzlies in pre-season game number four. For tonight's match-up the Sixers will be without arguably their best player this pre-season, Dario Saric as the Croatian big man will sit due to rest. Joel Embiid on the other hand will en-fact play, but will still be on the twelve minute restriction that he's played under so far. Jo will face a quality all-star big man tonight in Grizzlies center piece Marc Gasol. Gasol seems to also be on about a 10-15 minute restriction as well, so the clash of the big man should be fun to watch for the short time they both will play. Starting in Saric's place will be third year forward Jerami Grant. Grant has shown so far that his skills seem to have progressed and maybe will finally take that next step that all the Sixers fans have been anticipating.

Here's some notes for both teams:

  • Sixers center Joel Embiid posted a new preseason-high 12 points in 13 minutes against the Cavs. He made 4-10 from the field, grabbed four rebounds and blocked a shot on the night
  •  Point guard Sergio Rodriguez played 27 minutes off the bench at Cleveland. He handed out a team-high eight assists, scored 15 points and had two steals.
  • Coming off of a 20-point, 12-rebound double-double against Washington, Sixers forward Richaun Holmes again led the team in scoring with 19 points. He sank seven of his nine field-goal attempts and made 5-6 from the free throw line.
  • D.J. Stephens totaled 13 points, eight rebounds and four steals while getting the start at shooting guard in Memphis' last game
  •  Zach Randolph scored 10 points in 15 minutes off the bench in the loss against Atlanta
  • Troy Williams scored 15 points, all in the second half, to lead the Grizzlies
