Well it was not as bad as Sunday night, when they lost by 45 points. Philadelphia lost by 43 points to the Golden State Warriors on Monday night, 123-80.

It’s hard to call this one a “laugher” after last night, because it was slightly less embarrassing but this game was never close. Steph Curry hit a three 30 seconds into the game and the Warriors were just getting started.

To sum the game up best, Maurice Speights (remember him?) had 20 points off the bench midway through the second quarter. He went on to score 32 points, easily a career high. He stole the spotlight from another former Sixer, Andre Iguodala. Although “Iggy” had himself a ball game, producing a +/- of 40.

By comparison, his counter part, James Anderson, had a stellar figure of -42.

Golden State blocked 11 of Philadelphia’s shots. The Warriors had six players reach double figures. Michael Carter-Williams led the team with 24 points. Evan Turner and Thaddeus Young each had 12 points, but no other starter had more than six points. Not that you have much of a chance to win if you give up 123 points, but that kind of production from your best players will not get a team very far.

Philadelphia actually took more shots than the Warriors, 90 to 88. Despite that, they still got outscored by 43.
