The Sixers headed to Minnesota to take on the Timberwolves one night removed from a 109-102 win over the Wizards.

In what was to be a battle of two young teams, who are both in rebuilding phases, the Wolves took over from early on in the contest and didn't look back.

Wolves' SF Andrew Wiggins continued his scoring success on Thursday night with 28 points, after two straight games of 29 and 47 points respectively.

The most notable matchup was the showdown between Karl Anthony Towns and Joel Embiid, which did not disappoint.

Scoring wasn't a theme that was coming easily for the Sixers on Thursday night as there wasn't one prolific scorer on the roster. The scoring was spread out among the starters and the bench players. With a large deficit, Coach Brett Brown was able to utilize his bench a little more, as Nik Stauskas had 13 points and 3 of 6 from downtown.

Dario Saric led the bench players in scoring with 16 points and 2 of 4 from the three point line.

Embiid was inferior to Towns for most of the night but was a big presence down low for the Sixers with 10 rebounds and 10 points, for a double-double.

Defense was a struggle for the Sixers all game long as they were unable to stay close with the Wolves at any point during the contest. The team only managed two blocks on the night.

The Wolves kept their starters in the game until close to the end, and they held on for the 110-86 victory. Philadelphia falls to 2-10 on the season, while Minnesota improves to 4-7.

The Sixers will be home at the Center for a five game home-stand that spans from November 19 to 27. Philadelphia plays host to the Phoenix Suns coming Saturday night and hope that the home crowd will influence a winning atmosphere.
