If you were waiting on the announcement that former Villanova Wildcat and Malvern-native Mikal Bridges would be working out with the Philadelphia 76ers before the NBA Draft next Thursday, you've gotten your wish.
NBC Sports Philadelphia's Jessica Camerato reported that the second-round of pre-NBA Draft workouts would be headlined by Texas Tech guard Zhaire Smith in a group workout and then an individual workout with two-time national champion Mikal Bridges following that.

Bridges, a small forward, is projected by many to be drafted before the Sixers even get a chance to. Sports Talk Philly's Sean McBryan had Bridges mocked to fall to No. 9 and the New York Knicks. But the chance of him falling right in the Sixers' laps is also pretty high as well.
This set of workouts follows the group workout on Monday that featured Miami forward and Reading native, Lonnie Walker IV, as well as Michigan State forward Miles Bridges.
Mikal Bridges had a successful junior season for Villanova in 2017-18, averaging 17.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists, shot 51.4 percent from the field, and 43.5 percent from beyond-the-arc.
Any team looking for a "three-and-D" forward who can be a sharpshooter would be lucky to have him. That, and the fact that he's from nearby Malvern and Villanova would be a dream come true for many if he does indeed end up on the Sixers.
