Over the course of the last few seasons, the injury bug has not been kind to Sixers rookies. In recent memory, whenever the team releases a medical update on a rookie, it hasn't been a good one.
However, the team released a positive update on Monday afternoon regarding injured draftees Landry Shamet and Shake Milton.

Shamet sprained his right ankle during the first quarter of the Sixers summer league opener against the Celtics. In that game, the guard out of Wichita State only logged 12 minutes, putting up six points on two shots from beyond-the-arc.
As for Milton, he did not see any action during summer league play, since his injury was initially suffered during pre-draft workouts. Milton did make news a few weeks back when he signed a two-way contract with the Sixers, meaning he will spend most of his rookie season on the newly named Sixers G-Leauge affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats.
Although the team provided seemingly hopeful updates on two of the rookies, the same could not be said for fellow first-round pick, Zhaire Smith, following surgery this past week on his left foot.
